The Port Authority A520 is a 65/35 poly-cotton blend and that fabric mix matters when choosing your print method. DTF is the most popular choice for aprons because it bonds well to the poly-cotton blend and produces sharp, durable logos that hold up through repeated washing. DTG works on the cotton content but may not produce as vibrant a result on the poly side. Screen printing is the best value for large consistent bulk runs.
DTF PRINTING
Best choice for the poly-cotton A520 blend. Film transfer bonds to any fabric content. Sharp edges, vivid colors, excellent wash durability. Recommended for most apron orders.
DTG PRINTING
Ink printed directly onto the apron fabric. Works well on the cotton content of the blend. Best for detailed full-color designs. May produce slightly softer results than DTF on poly blends.
SCREEN PRINTING
Best for large bulk apron runs with consistent solid-color logos. Lowest cost per apron on orders of 50 or more. Bold, durable ink that holds up in daily kitchen use.
EMBROIDERY
Stitched logo on the apron bib. Premium finish. Available on request. Best for restaurant groups that want a matching look with their embroidered polo shirt uniform.
